Privacy Policy
This is a short policy because there is very little to describe. Birchcove runs entirely in your browser and operates no user database.
What we store
All data is stored locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
- Account — email address, username, password
- Session — your username while you are logged in
- Profile — virtual credit balance, XP, tier, check-in streak, total playtime, which games you have opened, unlocked achievements and cosmetic items
We do not sell, share, or transmit any of this. Clearing your browser storage erases your account and all progress permanently. We cannot recover it.
What we do not do
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising cookies.
- No profiling, no user-agent fingerprinting, no location lookups.
- No payment data, because nothing on this platform costs money.
- No mailing list. If you email support, we reply and that is the end of it.
Third parties
Demo games are embedded from their provider and load inside a frame on the games page. That provider serves the game itself and applies its own policies to that connection; we do not pass it anything about you. Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts when a page loads.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict and erase your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because your data never leaves your own device, you exercise all of these directly: your profile page shows everything held, and clearing site data erases the lot immediately and irreversibly. No request to us is needed, and we could not act on one, because we hold no copy.
Children
Birchcove is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly hold data about anyone younger.
